It was always going to happen wasn’t it? After falling in love with former Eastenders star Kara Tointon on last year’s Strictly Come Dancing, professional dancer Artem Chigvintsev was always going to be paired up with another young, attractive female celebrity in the 2011 show.

And so it proved. Chigvintsev – who is still dating the 2010 Strictly Champion – was partnered up with Australia’s very own pop princess and Hollywood actress Holly Valance.

The watching audience all had the same reaction when watching Saturday night’s show – ‘what is Kara going to think’? Well, the British actress has had her say and she admits that it is going to be very ‘wierd’ for her to watch.

She said: “Artem dancing with another woman? I’m going to find that really weird.”

It isn’t just any women either. Holly Valance has never been short of male admirers and her chemistry with Artem in this year’s show is bound to be discussed at length.

There will be plenty of other talking points to though. Such as how bad ex-footballer Robbie Savage is going to be, how much Lulu and Brendan Cole and Lulu will argue and there will be any love in the air between Harry Judd and Aliona Vilani.

As for the early favourites to win the show, McFly drummer Harry is leading the way at the moment followed by Holly Valance, Jason Donovan and Alex Jones.

The least likely to emerge victorious and perhaps the novelty act for this year is Audley Harrison. The British boxer looked far from comfortable during the group dance on Saturday and his sheer size is bound to make some dance moves difficult.

Overall it should be a fantastic show with plenty of talking points throughout the series. The first live show is in a couple of week’s time. In the mean time, the celebrities will be working hard with their new partners to perfect their moves!
