Audley Harrison believes that recently retired boxer David Haye should do Strictly Come Dancing next year.

Harrison – who has always enjoyed a rivalry with Haye and been the victim of many of his jokes – believes that it is ‘an honour’ for former boxers to take part in the show.

He said: “David Haye should definitely consider doing it. When you think of the boxers who have done Strictly worldwide, it is really an honour.”

“I have lost a stone already and my legs and feet are getting stronger. All of those things will help me when I get back to boxing training.”

“I need to last four or five more weeks on the show so I can really get the benefit of the training.”

It will certainly be interesting to see what Haye’s response to this would be. Considering he only retired from the sport last week, it seems hard to believe that Strictly Come Dancing will be towards the top of things to do.

As for the live show last night, Jason Donovan was once again the man to beat as he wowed the judges for a third week running to score 36 out of 40 for his performance of the tango.

The ever popular Len Goodman told the former Neighbours star: “I am going to call you the midwife because you keep delivering.”

Other acts to impress the judges were McFly drummer Harry Judd and The One Show presenter Alex Jones who Alesha Dixon described as ‘the most improved’ of the celebrities so far.

There were also decent showings for Robbie Savage and Rory Bremner, while Nancy Dell’Olio and Audley Harrison were the two acts that scored the least points.

It will be revealed this evening who will remain in the bottom two following the public vote. Betting wise, Nancy is the favourite to get the boot.
