After being given the boot from Strictly Come Dancing last night, Audley Harrison has spoken positively about his time on the show.

Harrison found himself in the bottom two once again after a disappointing Cha Cha Cha on Saturday evening and was given the boot after going head to head with Anita Dobson.

It was certainly a surprise that Anita – who has been mentioned as a possible winner – was in the bottom two and it was a forgone conclusion that Audley would be the one to leave.

Reflecting on his time on the show, Audley said: “There has been a lot, a lot of highlights. I’ve really enjoyed myself.”

“Imagine the first week I was 100/1 to go out, so hopefully all those people who lost money on me with the David Haye fight, hopefully they got their money back!”

“It’s been great, I had a great time. I really enjoyed it.”

His dance partner, Natalie Lowe added: “I just want to thank all the people at home who voted, who kept us in. It’s been a great journey. Thank you!”

The writing was perhaps on the wall for Audley after his performance only scoring 20 out of 40 on Saturday evening, with judge Bruno saying: “National Rail on a Bank Holiday has better timing.”

In other Strictly news, fans favourite Russell Grant has revealed that there is no way he will be quitting the show.

In last year’s show, John Sergeant quit after pulling in votes for his novelty value rather than his skills as a dancer.

Russell believes he is better than this though, saying: “You can’t compare me. John walked out. I’d never do that.”

“The difference between John and me is I’ve got rhythm and he hasn’t.”

Looking at the Strictly Come Dancing betting market with a few weeks to go, Harry Judd is the favourite to win at 6/4, followed by Jason Donovan at 11/4 and Chelsee Healy at 3/1.

Anita Dobson is the favourite to leave next week.
