Despite receiving an overwhelming amount of support since being booted out of the X Factor by Kelly Rowland, Scottish singer Jade Richards will not take part in the live shows at part of a ‘big twist’ this weekend.

Jade shined throughout the audition stages of the show and was widely expected to take her place in the final 16, but Kelly decided against taking her through, suggesting that she couldn’t produce enough variety across the themed live shows.

This then led to a backlash from passionate Jade fans who thought she more than deserved the chance to perform in front of millions, starting this weekend with a double-bill.

There was hope when it was announced there would be a ‘big twist’ this weekend, with rumours circulating that it could be a return for fans favourite Jade.

However, these reports have been quashed by an insider who said: “Jade had one of the best voices on the show and had built up a strong following. But, unlike last year, the twist won’t involve booted-out acts coming back.”

“Each judge already has four acts. There is no room for any more. So Jade, or any of the other acts already eliminated, won’t be coming back.”

Despite not making it through, Jade has vowed to come back fighting and Xtra Factor host Olly Murs believes she has more than enough talent to do just that.

Speaking after Sunday night’s show, the 2009 X Factor runner-up said: “Jade’s brilliant, she’s got a fantastic voice.”

“She’s someone, you know, who has got a great recording voice and she could go on and do great things.”

As for one of the acts that did make it through, Frankie Coccozza has revealed that he has been getting tips from last year’s winner Matt Cardle.

He tweeted: “At matt cardle’s gig! Such a down to earth bloke with good advice. Look forward to watching the boy work his magic!”

The first live show is on our television screens on Saturday at 7.30pm.
