After Gary Barlow branded her style as ‘boring’ last week, Janet Devlin has been told to raise her game by mentor Kelly Rowland.

The Northern Irish singer was one of the favourites to win the show a few weeks ago, but she has failed to impress the judges as much recently.

She has still recieved enough public votes to survive, although Kelly has warned her that she faces a place in the bottom two this week if she doesn’t deliver.

A show insider said: “Kelly has told her she has to be ready to sing for her survival.”

“Janet is convinced Tulisa and Gary have it in for her and will vote her off the show if she gets in the bottom two.”

“And with Amelia’s return a lot of the young girls who were voting for Janet may jump ship and vote for her instead.”

“Janet is really worried she’s going this weekend and Kelly fears the worst too. She would be devastated if she is given her marching orders.”

“So Kelly is getting her to put in extra rehearsals and try and pull off an incredible performance this weekend.”

As for the X Factor betting market – of which Janet found herself as the favourite to win at one stage – she is now the second favourite to leave the show this weekend.

Misha B is the favourite at 6/4, followed by Janet at 10/3 and Little Mix at 5/1.

The pressure is clearly getting to Janet too, with a show insider continuing:  “There has been a drop-off in votes for Janet over the past week. She is feeling the stress and pressure now.”

“The problem for Janet is she doesn’t really have anywhere else to go with her performance.”

“She can’t just come on and rock it out some week – she doesn’t do that kind of singing.”

There have even been rumours of a fall-out between Kelly and Janet, so it is all go on the X Factor once again!
