X Factor contestant Janet Devlin has denied falling out with her mentor Kelly Rowland.

It was reported last week that Janet was upset at Kelly spending more time with Misha B, something which made her feel left out.

However, looking to set the record straight, Janet says that there has been no such fall out and talk of one is ‘ridiculous’.

Referring to the reported arguments, she said: “No way, there’s no truth in it at all. I didn’t even know about them until I went online and saw the story.”

“It’s crazy. It’s totally made up and completely ridiculous.”

“Kelly’s given us a lot of support. We’ve all been really stressed, all the girls have been really stressed, so we got to go to a spa, that was lovely.”

“She’s been really supportive this week. I’m not going to lose touch with her. She looks after us so well that you can’t break that bond that you’ve made throughout the show.”

Janet was then asked who she would like her mentor to be if it wasn’t Kelly.

She responded: “I’d go for Gary Barlow because then, maybe, he wouldn’t shout at me so much.”

“Not everything is about winning anyway. What you’ve got to do is do your best and hope it’s good enough.”

“I am so pleased to have so much support from home. It’s heart-warming. I went from being a little nobody to having all this support.”

Despite having lots of support from home, there are fears that Janet will be in the bottom two this week if she doesn’t pull a big performance out of the bag.

Looking at the X Factor betting, she is second favourite to leave at 4/1, with Misha B – who was in the bottom two last week – favourite to leave at 6/4.

X Factor is back on our screens this evening.
