Simon Cowell is supporting Little Mix to win X Factor according to the girl group’s mentor Tulisa.

The N Dubz singers remaining act are the most successful girl group in the history of the show and Cowell is apparently a fan.

Tulisa said: “Simon rang me at home one night to chat about the show, telling me things he wanted me to work on to keep the programme as fresh as possible and things he liked, which was nice to hear.”

“He told me that he really liked the girls. He actually said he’s backing them to win. They’re all really nice girls.”

Cowell has also been tweeting about the X Factor charity single too, saying that it is set to be a huge successful.

The finalists – with the help of JLS and One Direction – have released their version of Wishing On A Star this week.

The X Factor USA judge said: “Heard earlier on today TheXFactor UK charity single looks like it’s going to be No.1. A massive thank you to everyone who supported this.”

“If you don’t know about the charity @Tog4ShortLives it is run by amazing people. You’re all very generous.”

In other X Factor news, Little Mix have spoken of their hope that mentor Tulisa will sing with them if they make it to the final.

When asked who they would like to duet with, the said in unison: “Tulisa!”

Speaking on behalf of the group, Jesy continued: “She is so passionate about us. We’re so close to her and I just love her to pieces.”

“She’s amazing. She gave us some cool advice. She’s been there with us from day one.”

Tulisa is thought to be more hesitant though, saying that she is worried it will cause a rift with the other judges.

Little Mix have to make it to the final first though, something they are expected to do with Misha B the favourite to be eliminated.
