X Factor bosses have confirmed that the three finalists will perform with their mentor at this weekend’s final.

In front of 10,000 people at Wembley Arena, Gary Barlow will sing with Marcus Collins, Kelly Rowland will perform with Amelia Lily and Tulisa will become a member of Little Mix for the evening.

It is hoped that this twist will bring in the viewers for the show’s finale, with JLS, One Direction, Coldplay and Leona Lewis also expected to perform.

In fact, it is the aim of ITV management to get around 20 million viewers for what many have already called the biggest final ever.

The duet between judges and contestants certainly puts the pressure on this weekend and Gary believes he will be more tense than Marcus.

Speaking at an X Factor press conference, he said: “The judges will be more nervous than the acts.”

“Thank God Louis didn’t get an act in the final.”

Louis then responded with: “I think Johnny and I would have been a good duet. We were thinking of Renee and Renato, Save Your Love.”

As for the songs that will be performed as part of the duets, Kelly and Amelia will sing Ike and Tina Turner’s River Deep, Mountain High.

Little Mix and Tulisa have choosen to do a medley of Alicia Keys songs If I Ain’t Got You and Empire State Of Mind.

Finally, Gary and Marcus will sing Billy Joel’s Always A Woman.

Reacting to the confirmation of the duets, the finalists have been tweeting their thought.

Amelia said: “OMG!! words cannot describe how excited I am about dueting with Kelly Rowland. Dream come true.”

Marcus commented: “I feel so privileged to be doing a duet with Gary Barlow on the weekend. He has been such an inspiring mentor. So excited!”

Finally, Little Mix tweeted: “We owe everything to Tulisa. We’ve become so close and cannot think of a better person to perform with in the final.”

Looking at how this news affects the odds for the X Factor final, Little Mix are the favourites at 13/10, while Marcus – who has seen his odds shorten after it was revealed he would be singing with Gary – and Amelia are both 9/4 to be crowned the 2011 X Factor winner.
